Nail Art : Sponging & Sugar Spun/String

Exam's was over & I wanted to do nail art before I go back home. I wanted to something different and as I was reading some nail blogs, , I came by this fun nail art, sugar spun or string nail art.

Steps to do this nail art :

1. For the base color I used Elianto's dark blue fine glitter nail polish. You can use and dark or bright base color.
2. I chose two colors to do sponging at the opposite end corners of the nail. Face shop's Baby blue and Skin food's turquoise. Once I have done the sponging on the nail, both colors turned out darker than the original color because of the dark base color I chose.
3. Then I chose a bright pink from Face Shop. I first dropped a few drops on my palette then waited for few minutes to let the polish to become bit tacky and once stretch using the dotting tool, it will have like string like or cheesy like strings.  Once you get the strings you start placing on the nail where you like it best.
4. And I sealed the whole nail art with top coat to give a glossy look. But when i applied the top coat the strings on my nails turned out like it has ben pressed or become a bit flattened out.

You can also try without top coat, it will give you a better 3D effect of the strings and a matte finish from the sponging.

Try this nail art, results was pretty satisfying for me!

Nail Art : Multicolored Nail Art

My friend posted this picture on my facebook and asked if I could do this for her. So I made my attempt on this nail art which is simple sponging technique.

Here is my outcome for the attempt :

I painted the base color with the color like in the picture and did sponging at the tip above halfway up the nail. I'm not so sure on how t turned out. Do let me know what you think of the nail art.

Nail Art : Polka Dot Flower

Vila's choice of nail art is mostly flowery or something simple and catchy. And, I had the right idea of nail art in my mind when I painted royal blue nail polish on her toe nails.

I then made dots and the corners of the toe (picture above) and drag to the center and makes a flower. And this was just the start of the design I had on my mind.

And then, I added some flower dots on the rest of the toes and the main big toe I covered the spaces with colored dots. I then stick on stones to the center of the flower.

I finished the nail art with a top coat to seal the design and give it a glossy shiny look.

Pretty simple!

Ocenia Nail Art

Yesterday I made this new nail art as I was kin of bored and I was in the mood of doing some nail art on my nails. While I was watching Housefull ( Hindi movie), I took out my nail polishes and my tools out. I already had this dry marbling nail art idea in my mind and I first tried it out on my forefinger. I was really happy with the color combo and the swirly effect.

Step 1 : Paint your nails with base coat.
Step 2 : Paint 1st half of your nail with color A
Step 3 : Paint 2nd half of your nail with color B

Both nail polish should not be too much or too little. Paint you nails like you would with one color.

Step 4 : Use color C which will give a obvious/ beautiful swirls and effects on the nails. Slowly drop really small tiny dots on random area, again not too much.
Step 5 : Use a sharp pointed object, safety pin or thumbtack, I used a safety pin, the sharp end. Then I quickly made swirls or you can do any type of  effects/patterns you like on your nails.

Do it before your nail polishes get dried. If it does, the you wont be able to get the maximum swirl effects.

Once done, let them to dry just a little bit and then finish it off with top coat to seal the nail art and also a glossy shiny look.

My outcome was superb, check 'em out !

It was rather n shades of blue instead when taken with flash.

Anyhow, I loved this nail art very much as it turned out better than I've imagined.
